Changing a User's Properties

Once a User has been authorized to login to an iCR server, they were given an initial default password by the administrator. When they login for the first time, they are strongly encouraged to use the Change Password capability to change their password from the default.

If they forget their password, the administrator may use the Edit capabilities of the administrator console to fix that. The administrator may also change the role for the User. A User cannot do that for themselves.

So modify as User's infromation the administrator would:

  • Login to iCR using their administrator User ID;

  • They would browse the list of Users or Search for the User for whom they wish to make changes;

  • When that User's entry in the list is found, there are 2 icons at the right of the listing entry;

  • Select the icon representing Edit;

  • This brings up the Edit user form;

  • The form allows the administrator to enter a new password, change the name of the person associated with this User ID, update their E-mail address, or alter their role.

Once any edits are complete, clicking on the Submit button at the bottom of the form will save these changes.
